What is it?
"Atmark Techno Development Environment" image for VMware, or ATDE for short, is a virtual machine image that provides a virtual development environment for Atmark Techno products. It is essentially a Linux desktop environment preinstalled with all the necessary cross compilers and other tools used when working with Atmark Techno products.
What can I do?
You can use ATDE to kick start your development work instead of setting up a PC or installing tools.
What do I need?
You need three things:
- Your PC, with either Windows or Linux installed.
- VMware Player, which you can download from here.
- The image file.
Your PC should have
- 1GHz or faster CPU
- 512MB or more of RAM
- 5GB or more of HDD free space
Where can I get VMware Player?
You can download it from http://www.vmware.com/products/player/
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The ATDE image is free to download.
What is the password for root?
It's "root".
What is the user name for auto login?
It's "atmark".
